Two Villages Voluntary Association
The Two Villages Voluntary Association is an organisation made up of members
from all churches and other interested people who act to further joint Christian
action in the villages of Kelvedon and Feering and to encourage all people to
serve one another.
Two Villages Guide
The Two Villages Voluntary Association is best known for preparing and
publishing the Two Villages Guide, covering Kelvedon and Feering.
The Guide is a useful resource that lists the many and varied local
activities which are available in our community, together with details of public
and commercial services to be found locally or that serve our villages.
Its publication is sponsored by the two parish councils of Feering and
Kelvedon, who pay for the printing. It is distributed free to residences
in Feering and Kelvedon.
The Two Villages Guide is updated and republished every three years. The last
edition was in 2007.
Other activities
Besides publishing the guide, the Association organises the Street Contacts
Scheme, which is designed to welcome newcomers, to detect and make known any
difficulties for residents in their areas and to get help where possible.
In addition, the Association seeks local sponsorship so that everyone aged 70
and over receives a cash voucher, which can be redeemed at local shops at
Christmas time.
