House calls by recycling advisors
News - 29 October 2007
Staff from Waste Watch, a national waste
education charity, will be visiting homes in Braintree District during October,
November and December to talk to residents, answer questions and give advice and
information on waste recycling. The aim is to increase the recycling rate.
Representatives have already been active, knocking on doors in Kelvedon.
These callers are genuine but it is always possible impostors may impersonate
them. The genuine callers will be carrying name badges, security cards and be
highly visible but if anyone has any questions about the exercise they should
ring the Braintree District Council customer service centre on 01376 552525.
More information about the scheme and how to identify the Waste Watch
representatives can be found as a news release on the Braintree District Council
web site.
This scheme is a Braintree District Council, not a Kelvedon Parish Council,
initiative.
