New car park open for use

News - 4 September 2008

The parish council is pleased to announce that its new car park opened for use on Tuesday 2 September 2008.

The car park is situated on parish council-owned land in the High Street, to the rear of the Conservative Club. It will be a useful facility for residents, visitors, shoppers and those who use the nearby leisure facilities.

Access, through a brand new road constructed alongside the Conservative Club, will be available 24 hours a day.

Charges

Charges apply from Monday to Friday, between 8:00am and 6:00pm, on a pay and display basis.

Tickets must be purchased from the ticket machine installed at the entrance.

Up to 2 hours 20p
Up to 3 hours £1.00
Up to 4 hours £1.50
4 hours and over £5.00
Blue Badge holders displaying a valid permit up to 4 hours free parking

Enforcement will be by clamping in cases of failure to display a valid ticket or parking outside the designated bays.
