New member of the council announced

Following the resignation of Cllr Larry Raison in 2008, several candidates
applied to be co-opted on to the parish council. At its February meeting, the
council agreed to co-opt Mike Pilbeam. Mike has executed his Declaration of
Acceptance of Office and is now officially a councillor.
The council was pleased to note the number of local residents who were
interested in the vacancy on the parish council and who put themselves forward
to be considered for co-option. It is encouraging to know that people are keen
to sit on the parish council and willing to become involved in working for their
community.
