What should we do for the Queen's Diamond Jubilee in 2012?
News - 11 November 2011
The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee falls in 2012 and a Jubilee Public Holiday has been announced for Tuesday 5 June.
The parish council has already received one enquiry together with a suggestion from a local organisation that a local public event should be arranged in order to mark the occasion so that residents may celebrate the Jubilee.
What, if anything, should Kelvedon Parish Council organise or facilitate to enable this?
You are invited to submit your comments and suggestions, so that they may be considered when the council debates the issue and decides what to do. For example, you may wish to comment on:
- Should the village hold a community event?
- If so, what form might it take?
- Where might it be held?
- How might it be funded?
- What contribution can you offer as an individual, or might be available from a local organisation or club of which you are a member?
Submissions are invited from individual residents, families, local groups, clubs and organisations and businesses that operate within the village.
All suggestions and comments are welcome. We are looking for realistic, affordable ideas that will attract participation.
Please submit your response in writing to the Clerk of the Council by post or email to reach us by Sunday 27 November 2011. |
