New dates for the Police and Community Mobile Office
Provided jointly
by Braintree District Council and Essex Police, the Office can answer questions on district
council matters (housing, refuse collection, road sweeping, etc.) and police

Footpath number 30 is permanently diverted
Kelvedon footpath 30 that leaves the exit slip road towards the A12 in the
direction of Witham at the south-western end of the village, toward Kelvedon
Road at Great Braxted, has been permanently diverted. An alternative route in
the immediate vicinity has replaced the former route of the path.

House calls by recycling advisors
Representatives from a national waste education charity will be visiting homes
on behalf of the District Council to advice on waste recycling. Be sure you
know how to identify the authorised visitors and protect yourself from bogus

Volunteers are sought to serve on forums aimed at improving the delivery
of local NHS services
Are you interested in the quality of local NHS provision? Have you got
experience or a view to offer? Would you like to contribute? The Commission for
Patient and Public Involvement in Health is offering an opportunity for public
volunteers to serve on forums in this area.

Willow ‘haircut’
On Sundays 23 and 30 of September, the Millennium Willow Walk and Dome on
Brockwell Meadows was cut back and restored by volunteers.

Additional volunteers sought to help with Christmas illuminations
Every year during Christmas period, and with the support of residents and
businesses, the Parish Council ensures the village is brightened up by the
installation of seasonal illuminations. Additional volunteers are sought to
help with their installation. No experience is necessary.

The Hard Play area has been upgraded and is now open
At considerable expense, the hard play area on the playing field has now
reopened, following extensive refurbishment and with new games courts markings.

Kelvedon
Emergency Plan consultation – update
The
formal period for consultation in respect of construction of the parish
Emergency Plan has now expired. A Plan of this type must be dynamic in nature
therefore additional public suggestions are welcome at any time. All public comments received will be used to inform the forthcoming development
and finalisation of this important document.

Date of Parish Council meeting for May altered
The
monthly Parish Council meeting previously advertised as due to be held on
Tuesday 1 May in line with the usual ‘first Tuesday of the month’ policy has
been moved ahead one week so that it can take place immediately after the
forthcoming election day. The May meeting will now take place on Tuesday 8 May
2007, commencing at 7.45pm. More information.

Feering and Tiptree (B1023) will be subject to extensive road works and will be
closed to through traffic for a period of approximately 8 weeks, beginning the
