Travelling by road

Approach from the direction of Chelmsford and London using the A12 trunk road.
At Junction 23, approximately 9.5 miles north of Chelmsford, take the slip road
onto the B1024, signed towards Kelvedon. Continue ahead and this road becomes
Kelvedon High Street after a distance of 0.8 of a mile.
Approach from the direction of Colchester and Ipswich using the A12 trunk road.
At Junction 24, approximately 7 miles south of Colchester, take the slip road
onto the B1024, signed towards Kelvedon. Continue ahead and this road becomes
Kelvedon High Street after a distance of 1.2 miles.
Approach from the direction of Stansted Airport and the M11 motorway using the
A120 road towards Colchester. About 3.75 miles east of Braintree, at the
beginning of the Coggeshall bypass, turn right towards Coggeshall village at the
first opportunity. Continue ahead and in the centre of Coggeshall village turn
right onto the B1024, signed towards Kelvedon. This junction is just after the
Cricketers Inn public house and just prior to the White Hart Hotel, both
situated on the right hand side. Continue ahead and after 2.5 miles soon after
passing beneath a railway bridge you arrive at cross roads. Turning right takes
you into Kelvedon High Street.
Travelling by rail
Kelvedon has a
railway station. It is on the line serving Colchester, Clacton,
Walton, Ipswich and Norwich from London Liverpool Street Station.
Services are
provided by
National Express East Anglia. Kelvedon has an hourly service in both directions
during the daytime with more frequent trains during the morning and evening peak
periods. The railway station is only a short walk from Kelvedon High Street.
