The route may be tackled in either direction or enjoyed as a return trip from either end. The (single) distance of the walk is approximately 3 miles and should take about 1½ hours to complete over easy terrain. It is mostly off-road, follows the course of the River Blackwater where possible, and passes Coggeshall Abbey. The booklet is A5 size, 12 pages long, and contains a route plan and many coloured photographs to supplement the easy-to-follow directions. The booklet is on sale for £1.00 from Kelvedon Library or the Parish Clerk. Purchasers unable to call at the parish office in person may place an order for postal delivery. A small charge for postage and packing will be applied. You may also be interested in: Kelvedon Circular Walks (leaflets to download).
