New Planning Applications for ‘Monks Farm’
There are two ‘live’ planning applications for the Monks Farm site at the moment. We appreciate that this process may be a bit tricky to follow, so we have made an attempt at explaining them below:
Land West of Kelvedon Station – Application No. 19/01025/FUL
This is an entirely NEW application and is not linked to any
previous ones. This means that if you have commented on applications in the
past, they will NOT be taken into account for this application, so you will
need to put your response in afresh.
Your comments must be sent to Braintree District Council (BDC), by Friday 2 August, to email@example.com , quoting the above application number.
If you wish to contribute to the Parish Council’s response to this application, we are holding our Planning Committee meeting on Tuesday 16 July, at the Small Hall, Kelvedon Institute, for anyone to come and give us their views. BUT please remember that the Parish Council doesn’t make the decision, we can only put in our response in the same way that residents can. So please feel free to come and contribute to our meeting, but make sure that you send your own response in to BDC by Friday 2 August 2019.
A second planning application has now come in: Land West of Kelvedon Station – Application no. 19/00679/REM
This is an application to agree the issues which were not part of the previous outline application (17/00418/OUT), but only refers to 2 dwellings near the access road. The application has essentially been put in, to keep the outline application ‘live’, as it will expire in October unless the process is continued. An application for the full 250 dwellings is not currently possible, as some other outstanding issues are being held up by BDC. The deadline date for comment on this application is 8 August 2019.
