A typically humble response from Rebecca who, as the pandemic unfolded in March, brought together both Kelvedon and Feering Parish Councils and our two Braintree District Councillors to form the Coronavirus Support Group. This pooled various ideas into one project, to provide help to the communities, which was supported by a huge number of volunteers from both villages.
Rebecca saw the potential of us all working together, and through her leadership and wonderful PR skills and ability to inspire and motivate, the group has been a huge success. A large number of volunteers are still helping their ‘buddies’ with shopping and prescriptions, and some lovely friendships have been made along the way.
The group is still very much up and running, and as Rebecca has said, ‘I want everyone to know that we are still here to help and anyone can get in touch if they need anything. No one should be embarrassed about asking for support, and we will do everything we can to help’. Please contact us via either Parish Council, or our District Councillors.
